Kel-P Redefines Afrobeats with New Single "In My Feelings" Featuring Kalash

Trailblazing Afrobeats sensation Kel-P is back with a fiery new single, “In My Feelings,” featuring French rapper Kalash, out today via Virgin Music France/Virgin Music US/Jones Worldwide. A thrilling fusion of Afrobeats and dancehall, this track pulses with irresistible energy, seamlessly blending English and Creole melodies. Packed with flirtatious vibes and infectious beats, Kel-P and Kalash turn up the charm, enticing listeners—and the ladies—with their magnetic allure. The sultry music video captures the duo caught in a whirlwind of seduction, adding an edgy visual twist.

“In My Feelings” is the latest release from the upcoming second volume of Kel-P’s Bully Season EP series. Listen to the track here.

Kel-P isn’t just making music; he’s crafting a legacy. Having played a pivotal role in shaping the global success of Afrobeats by producing hits for Burna Boy, Rema, Davido, Janelle Monáe, and more, he’s now solidifying his place in the spotlight as a performer. His transition began in 2023 with the release of Bully Season Vol. 1, led by “One More Night”—a vibrant reimagining of Nelly and Kelly Rowland’s classic “Dilemma”—which Rolling Stone named one of “The 40 Best Afropop Songs of 2023.”

The Bully Season series embodies Kel-P’s relentless drive. “As a human, I feel I always had to bring out the bully in me to shake the table and get what I want from life,” Kel-P explains. “This project reflects my work ethic, my wins, losses, relationships, and the journey leading to this moment.”

Born a twin in Calabar, Nigeria, Kel-P’s journey began with heartbreak—losing his mother at just two years old. Raised in Lagos by relatives, he found solace in music, meeting his first mentor, Sarz, who encouraged him to create his own instrumentals. By 2018, Kel-P’s distinctive sound was making waves with Solidstar’s “Eleganza.”

He soon became a force behind Burna Boy’s African Giant, producing standout tracks like “On The Low,” “Gbona,” and “Killin Dem.” His signature tag, “It’s Kel-P vibes,” became synonymous with transcendent hits, and his catalog grew to include chart-toppers like Wizkid’s “Ginger” featuring Burna Boy and Dadju’s “Donne-moi l’accord.” Kel-P’s meteoric rise earned him a GRAMMY win for Angélique Kidjo’s Mother Nature and a nomination for Wizkid’s Made in Lagos: Deluxe Edition. In 2022, he contributed to J. Cole’s Dreamville-curated Creed III soundtrack with “Blood, Sweat & Tears,” earning an NAACP Award nomination. Okayplayer aptly described his trajectory: “For beatmaker Kel-P, the road to royalty seems inevitable,” while GRAMMY.com hailed him as “one of the hottest beatmakers and producers in the Afrobeats global movement.” Now 28, Kel-P is stepping into his own as both a performer and a global ambassador of Afrobeats. With “In My Feelings,” he offers yet another taste of his unparalleled versatility and knack for creating music that transcends borders. Kel-P is no longer just producing the hits; he is the hit. Stay tuned for the next chapter in the Bully Season saga—it promises to be unforgettable.
